AI Workflow Optimization

AI doesn't replace operational judgment — it amplifies it. SanaNest pairs a decade of hands-on practice leadership with practical AI, applied where it earns its keep: patient flow, staffing coordination, and the day-to-day accountability that keeps a practice running well.

Your guide has run the clinics, the schedules, and the front desk — and helps build and evaluate AI healthcare projects at Mercor — so every recommendation is grounded in what actually works inside real operations, delivered remotely or on-site.

Ask about AI optimization
  • Patient flowAI-supported insight into where patients wait and why — so bottlenecks get fixed, not worked around.
  • Staffing coordinationPractical AI tools and procedures that help the right people be in the right place, every shift.
  • Day-to-day accountabilitySimple tracking and follow-through rhythms — including AI documentation support — that keep improvements from fading.
  • EMR fluencyHands-on experience with multiple EMR systems, including Epic, Oracle Health (Cerner), and ModMed — so AI recommendations fit the workflows already inside your record system.
  • Remote deliveryAssessment, implementation, and coaching delivered remotely, with on-site time when it matters.

Operations Improvement

The fundamentals, done well: how patients move through your practice, how your team is staffed and scheduled, and how you know it's working. That includes panel management — SanaNest has helped clinics improve their patient panels and quality performance, the work that helps practices stay ahead of Medicare penalties — and strengthen patient satisfaction rates along the way. Process improvements are aligned with Joint Commission standards — national benchmarks that show how your operations compare with how high-performing organizations are doing it, and where the gaps are worth closing.

Behavioral Health Consulting

Specialized support for behavioral health organizations — from opening a new clinic to connecting care across settings — led by a founder completing graduate studies in Clinical Mental Health Counseling. SanaNest can also guide your organization through Maryland's COMAR licensing for behavioral health programs and prepare you for CARF accreditation, drawing on firsthand experience leading a CARF accreditation.

Clinical Workforce & HR Services

The people decisions behind every well-run practice — handled by someone who has built and led clinical teams firsthand. SanaNest recruits clinicians for your open roles, runs the hiring process with you, and onboards new clinicians into your practice so they are productive from week one: structured interviews and selection support, offer and start-date coordination, orientation plans, and early check-ins that keep new hires. The same judgment extends to the full HR picture — training, performance management, employee relations, and retention — so the team you build is the team you keep.

About the founder

Operations experience, evaluated AI expertise

Sanjana Stephen, MBA, MHA founded SanaNest Healthcare Solutions after more than a decade leading healthcare operations — most recently as an Ambulatory Operations Manager at MedStar Health (2022–2026), and previously as a Practice Administrator and multi-site operations leader. She has managed multiple urgent care clinics firsthand, leading staffing coordination and patient-experience efforts across specialties that include primary care and family medicine, ENT, facial plastic surgery, ambulatory surgery, behavioral health, neurology and neurosurgery, and cardiology — the operational world SanaNest now helps independent practices run better.

Alongside her operations career, Sanjana works as an AI Evaluator at Mercor, helping build and evaluate AI healthcare projects. That combination — running real clinical operations and professionally assessing the AI tools now entering them — is what makes SanaNest's AI guidance practical rather than theoretical.

She is also a graduate student in Clinical Mental Health Counseling, bringing a clinician's perspective to SanaNest's behavioral health consulting. Engagements are founder-led and delivered remotely or on-site to clients nationwide.
